I was talking to my non-car friend about the new 500, and he said he wouldn't really feel safe while in it, because of the size. I then pointed out that it has a higher score than the Mitsubishi Lancer, which is much bigger. I also pointed out that it's actually not as small as it seems, it's just that the proportions make it seem that way.

Just like the original non countryman mini's, it's a great illusion of smallness. Until you actually take the time to compare it to something else. It is pretty light I guess. That's always good.
